The famous Royal Naval College Town of Dartmouth and the not so widely known but equally attractive village of Kingswear on the opposite side of this historic sea-faring Port, are nowadays better known as a yachtsman's haven than sending ships to fight the Armada. There are marinas on both side of the harbour and ferry and bus links to the three Torbay Towns of Brixham, Paignton and Torquay.
